A individual accused with pursuing Kate McCann reportedly deposited her a voicemail message which questioned: "what if I am Madeleine?"

The defendant, twenty-four, who court testimony revealed has persistently claimed she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and Karen Spragg are on trial indicted with pursuing Kate and Gerry McCann from June 2022 and February the current year.

On Monday, the court learned call records and information obtained from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test over that period.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported child disappearance cases and is still unresolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

Another phone message, shared in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm fat and unattractive like Madeleine was, but I know what I know."

While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's one-way conversations with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "What if there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What then? Isn't that important for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I maintain a existence here in Poland, I just want to discover," the message continued.

The panel was informed that by means of electronic messages, SMS messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, forwarded early photographs to her phone in a bid to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and stated to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, an intelligence analyst with the police force who gathered the evidence, told the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also contacted family friends of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On that date, the father picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "a wrong number."

That day Ms Wandelt left a recording on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I won't give up and I plan to establish my point."

The court learned Mrs Spragg struck up a association through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' property in that area in last December.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had reached out via WhatsApp to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had characterized Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she should be considered genuine in the time before the appearance to the village, the county, in that winter.
